CPR / AED BRIEFING

LAST SATURDAY BREAKFAST SEPT. 28, 2019

Bother Glenn Carnes and his crew provided another outstanding breakfast which was served prior to the briefing we received from a Georgetown Paramedic on CPR and AED performances.

Fantastic  Breakfast prior to the briefing.

Opening talk about the basic points of CPR and what we need to look for if we are called upon to perform CPR.

Preparing the patient properly to ensure they benefit from your efforts.

Practicing the basic steps of chest compression.

After everyone had the opportunity to practice with the CPR dummies – there was a question and answer session.  Paramedic Gilliam then continued to explain the operation of a AED (defibrillator).

Below is part of his explanation of the unit we have in the Lodge, identifying the features and function.

The briefing was to provide everyone the basics of CPR and the care and use of the AED (defibrillator).  The Georgetown Fire Department offers courses throughout the year for CPR Certification.
